This year on Go Poems, we will move our post count from 120 poems and ideas to 150! I'm excited to feature some ideas from my favorite English teachers around the country and share some of my own classroom-tested ideas too. This year, for the first time in its history, Go Poems has a theme: Poems of Hope and Encouragement. We need hope and encouragement in our classrooms right now. Our students have been resilient and strong and so have we, and now it is my pleasure to share poems and teaching ideas that, with only a small commitment of time, will strengthen us even more. I hope you will subscribe and challenge yourself to make a #poemaday routine a reality in your classroom this April for National Poetry Month.
As the crocuses rise each year, so too must our spirits, our creativity, our hope. Enjoy this month of poems, starting March 15th, and be sure to subscribe to receive all 30 posts in your inbox!
